Campaign 4: Blood Angels-The First Taste

Shaka was in his chambers, satisfied for once. As his slave women were busy bathing him and mending his wounds, he reflected on his debriefing with his master. He properly (barely) defended his borders in the Tamdak system, defying the odds. Most Kabals thought it absurd to have outposts outside of Commoragh. Who gave a sh*t, he thought. Outposts placed strategically at a reasonable distance from given warp portals, and placed near (but not at) suitable or useful planets was brilliant to him. Then the planets (or systems for that matter) could be flanked, if not surrounded. At the first sign of trouble one could pack up, leave, and abandon the planet and the warp indefinitely. Sure there was some risk, but that is why only the expendable resources (and troops) were sent. A company of Blood Angels got too close to an outpost near a planet near a warp portal under the observation of his mighty omnipotence, the Jade Emperor. Shaka was sent to handle it.

First, he sent the Obsidian Knights to patrol the area. He kept his army small for this patrol. By the time the reserves arrived, Obsidian was already taking casualties, but they set up the webway portal in case it needed to be used. He finally had some Scourges on his team that were worthy. They arrived on target and flanked the enemy, taking out a Dreadnought. The Reavers managed to immobilize a tank; their combat drugs seemed to be working well. Besides, these Blood Angels were the absolute worst, they must have been hung over or something. Humans, being the weaklings that they are, can't utilize drugs to their full potential. They actually get addicted to the stuff and becomes slaves to it, he laughed to himself. He beamed with pride when he remembered how the Assault Squad put it on the Scourges and The Zulu Knights literally peeled through them. The Devastator Squad caused many Eldar casualties, including two of his Incubi. They survived, however broken, and the Haemonculi were not just masters at torture, they were utterly adept at reconstructive surgery. Finally, he was exalted with the fact that the Zulu Knights captured a Blood Angel alive, which is easier said than done. Shaka needed an able body to complete his Talos; one who would not easily succumb to the pain. The Talos was run on a unique electrochemical frequency known as pain. Once skinned and surgically placed within the nerve recognition systems, the Blood Angel would make a great living battery. Now all he had to do was keep an eye on the area. If the Blood Angels came back with reinforcements, then the Liquid Sword would simply pack up and leave. Indefinitely. In the meantime, They would reap the benefits that came with raiding the systems closest to the Tamdak system.
