Bunker Assault

Xhosha was going to have to explain this one. He was not looking forward to it, for the Jade Emperor was not predictable. This was the thing that Dark Eldar in general feared the most. At times, he would show...mercy for no apparent reason. It was unheard of. Most would take it as a sign of weakness and act accordingly, but Xhosha knew better. The Jade Emperor would just as likely as not punish you, but it was always at his discretion. Sometimes the anticipation of guessing one's fate was as agonizing as torture itself. His mighty omnipotence would not always be concerned with the outcome of a given battle as much as what was or wasn't accomplished. Sometimes an action as simple as acquiring a new type of slave would give him joy, other times it would mean nothing that a victory in battle was accomplished.. Xhosha understood how hard it is to be an Archon for the Jade Emperor, and he had the utmost respect for the House of Shaka. As he enters the conference room, he notices a few new faces.

J.E.: Report.

Xhosha: We went to the planet Spezariah in order to destroy the bunkers that the Imperial Guard set up. It turns out that they have been distributing ammunition to the 'Lucky 27', which has been contributing to their successful campaigns. Unfortunately, the warp caused communication problems and we had trouble awaiting orders which slowed us down. Their Mortar Squad was testing the range of their Mortus without success. I can't believe that this despicable race actually 'guesses' their way to success. It makes no sense. The Zulu Knights took fire first, and a krack missile atomized Shaka. The shadow field had to be faulty, and I suspect that it was part of an assassination.

J.E.: I'll investigate it. Continue.

Jedi: Their anti-tank team firedl upon the Talos. The other races appear to be sincerely afraid of the Talos, and seem to make its destruction a priority. Around this time, the Obsidian Knights also began to take casualties. There were missiles going off all over the place. Meanwhile, one of the Reavers reportedly crashed in the woods. I thought they were supposed to be good at maneuvering? The Talos was just out of range of that idiotic guess weapon. I can't believe we lost to this imbecilic army!

J.E.: What of our 'Lancers?

Xhosha: <Sigh>, I don't know what the f*cking problem is. Maybe the 'Lancers are under...too much...pressure?

J.E.: I refuse to believe there is such weakness in my Kabal. I want the punishments and rewards for the 'Lancers increased again. We are going to beat this so-called curse one way or another.

Xhosha: Umm, well, my 'lancers managed to shake the crew of a tank up at least. It at least slowed them down some. I will crack down harder on them. I can't say the same for Masai's unit in terms of efficiency. There is also the situation with the Reavers. Mali and one of his reavers were toasted, and the rest retreated. They were useless for this battle.

J.E.: Perhaps it is time that they fear me more than they do Peet. I'll see to it.

Xhosha: Right. At this time, the anti-tank team decided to focus on our unit. Nice try, in any event. The Lucky 27 continued to focus on the Talos, though. It did a good job of maintaining. One of their Rhinos moved in on the Obsidian Knights and released SPACE MARINES. I couldn't have anticipated this, I simply report to Archon, and he was gone. As was Edea, because of the space nazis, she is resting in pieces. The Cobalt Squad was pretty ineffective. The Talos wasted a sh*tload of bullets and the Zulu splinter cannons only killed one human. After that, a Vanquisher came through and brought the Zulu Knights under heavy fire. They were pinned to the ground.

J.E. Hmmm. They haven't been able to get into close combat fast enough. I'll have to see about changing that...

Xosha: The anti-tank squad finally destroyed the Talos and the space marines wiped out all but one Obsidian Knight, and then they had the cowardly audacity to get back in their tank. As the Cobalt Knights were the second to fold, the Leopard Squad finally comes through. I would have been pissed had they not pinned half of the Mortar Squad and destroy the rest. They were shortly obliterated after that. The Cobalt Knights maintained and finally destroyed one bunker, and the my unit immobilized the tank that we were focused on. Meanwhile, a tank tried to run over the Zulu Knights. They played themselves. Osiris did one hell of a job with his empathic abilities. He kept a good portion of their army thoroghly occupied. One of their infantry squads finally saw us and then took out half of my unit. Upon the Zulus taking more fire, Jedi panicked and got killed in a crossfire. My unit was blown out of coherency, and we were forced to regroup at a crucial time. The Cobalt 'Lancer was just out of range, and we just said, "f*ck it," and left.

J.E.: Prognosis?

Osiris: As far as I can tell, we are not utilizing speed the way we should. That is our strength. We spend too much time being wary of the tanks. Screw the tanks. We can take them out with precision if we are not intimidated. By the way, Dark Sun, Inc. has found some Necrons. You had mentioned before that you want to see how they tick. According to the Akoshic Records, they will be attacking a Yeshivic Institute of Sisters of Battle. The Tyranids appear to be getting involved, because they have gene-seeds on the planet. The Necrons don't stand a chance alone and will be defeated. Perhaps we can give them a helping hand.

J.E.: Sounds like a good idea. Let us prepare.

Osiris: By the way, I take it you have cemented your hold on the Kabal of the Iron Storm.

J.E.: Why, you have ruined my surprize to you. How did you know--no matter. Yes, my hostile takeover is complete. I'm still in the process consolidating their resources. I have secretly dispatched a gang of Mandrakes, the Razorvines, to coordinate some key assassinations. Of course, you all have noticed some new faces. Here we have Marilith, the former Archon of the Iron Storm. It was her betrayal of Supreme Lord Varat Khem that secured my victory, and I have rewarded her by making her my Dracon. Also from the Kabal formerly known as the Iron Storm we have more Incubi, more troops, and we've wiped out or enslaved more than half of them. Then there's Grell, a beastmaster who has joined the Cult of Misery. The Cult of Mutilation fell with the Iron Storm, and Grell was smart enough to join us. The Kabal of the Liquid Sword has officially proven its might. The Iron Storm is merely the first Kabal to fall to us. I'm sure that Scarab is sleeping with his lights on, lest the Razorvines claim his soul while he rests. Now let us prepare for battle...
