By the time of the debriefing that the most highly esteemed Jade Emperor was not going to receive the obscure relic that he wanted so badly. And this particular debriefing was missing more than a couple of folks. Osiris, unafraid (well, not as afraid as everyone else) of the Jade Emperor due to his position with the Harlequins, spoke up first.

Osiris: Well, as you can tell, we didn't get the relic. Edea has informed me that this is the second relic that was lost to the Ulthwe. They must be on to something, something huge.

J.E.: Have you confirmed what it is the sellouts are collecting, and why?

Osiris: Heh, 'sellouts.' Not yet, but I have an idea...we'll talk later. Your entire army maneuvered through the warp effortlessly, it was a level speed truly commensurate to the Eldar name. Upon seeing the Grav Tank, the Ulthwe immediately focused their attention on it and attacked it almost immediately. I wish I could have seen the looks on their faces. The tank maintained but the disentigrator attached to it was destroyed. While they were constructively focused on the Tank, the Obsidian Squad recovered the relic atop a plateau and the Emerald Squad destroyed their Wave Serpent. The Grav Tank retaliated upon the wraithlord that engaged it. Amusingly, the Wraithlord actually said, "I will destroy you for you impudence!" and did just that. <the Jade Emperor is not amused, but allows Osiris to continue> The Incubi, underestimating the range of the Dark Reapers' firepower, were brought under very heavy fire, and the Talos was literally melted by a starcannon. In my opinion, the Reavers were waaay to strung out to be effective. I really don't see the point of the usage of drugs in the middle of combat. Religious zeal is no substitute for martial efficiency.

Mali: Don't hate on us just because we choose not the heathen path. We take our 'nutritional enhancements' in order to maintain our one-ness with our lord and savior, Peet, within the chaos of combat. You may outrank me, but be warned: I won't stand for religious intolerance against Peet.

Osiris: Riiiight. What are you going to do to me? You're sober right now.

J.E.: Enough of this. Your opinion is duly noted, Osiris. Leave them be. I'll discipline them myself for their failures. <looks at Mali> You shut the f*ck up. <Mali gives Osiris that don't sleep with your lights off look>

Osiris: Anyway, the Archon was atomized by the star cannon, and the Obsidian Squad retaliated by taking out a percentage of the woods firing upon and destroying the star cannon. With that, a unit of Scorpions charged the Obsidian Squad. As they peeled through the entire unit, Edea gave the order to stand their ground and continue to fight for the relic. It was inspiring, at one point they were so outmatched that it made absolutely no sense to continue fighting [passed leadership: 3]. She should have just retreated. But she and her entire unit perished trying to hold on to the relic. Your kabal is proof positive that Dark Eldar can fight and die with honor, and not just exist as hit and run cowards.

J.E.: The House of Edea tends to go hard like that. I'm not surprized. In any event, I'm going to have my engineers make smaller Grav Tanks for specific purposes, this way they won't be such easy targets. Meeting adjourned.
